Harold and Kumar from the recent movie "Escape from Guantanomo Bay" have announced they will partner up with the U.S. government and turn Gitmo into a Theme Park.   

     "The tourist trade alone will help defray some of the costs we encountered while keeping the prison camp open," bragged one Pentagon spokesman.  "Everyone is curious as to what went on at Guantanamo Bay as far as the detention center is concerned.  We give them that hard hitting realism with a Ferris wheel and a couple of ring toss booths thrown in as a bonus."

     The Pentagon has asked for ideas on mascots to the park which include, "Osama Bin Hiding", "Saddam Insane", and "Al Fraida." as some of the more popular choices.

     Gitmo Park won't just be about torture chambers and holding cells.

     "We are also going to have pony rides for the kids," said one theme park official.  "We want to keep it family oriented as much as possible."

     No word as of yet as to when the theme park will open, but White House officials remain enthusiastic.

    "We have been so intent in our drive to win the war on terror, that we have forgotten that there is a lighter side to life," mused one White House aide.  "Changing Guantanamo Bay into a theme park will bring that back into focus."

Neither Harold nor Kumar could be reached for comment, but some eye witness reports have them spotted eating at a local White Castle restaraunt.
